  • Suitable walking shoes/sandals for coral and rocks
  • Luxury food items (you often can't get this kind of thing here)
  • Cash (R,$,e,mt) as bank operations can be unreliable
  • Yellow fever vaccination form (if arriving from Yellow Fever areas)

Tipping:

We appreciate that you may wish to tip the staff, who make your trip a great experience. We ask that you please take note of the staff "behind the scenes" as well. We suggest that you liaise with the management as to amounts per staff member, and give the management the money, who will distribute to the staff. This ensures that the system remains fair.

Internet:

There is an Internet Café in Town, with broadband connectivity, should you so wish to do extensive computer work. There is a 3G modem available for hire at the reception.

Mobile reception in Vilanculos is very good. Please check your settings are correct from your Service Provider
